Mendez Marine Ltd

Mendez Marine is a long established, very professional marine motor boat training organisation. Nice people too!. The Chief Instructor, Julie Proudfoot is amazing and with her help I've recently completed my Cruising Instructor rating. I can highly recommend this RYA training school. After a great afternoon following the coast from Weymouth toward lulworth we stopped for a snack and take in the view, decided to head on, thats when the fun started. Engine stopped, wouldnt restart, we were about a mile off a rocky shore with an incoming tide, we made contact with the coastguard but deep down feared the worst. Within minutes two boats came to our rescue and what do you know, four professionals Paul and Vanessa from Mendez Marine and their friends aboard Vitamin Sea. Towed us back all the way to Portland and all they accepted was our grateful thanks. Their calm professional approach was all matter of fact but we knew we were in safe hands from the minute we made radio contact. I think I need extra training and I know where Ill be heading Thanks again Mike and Ali (Jurassic Lark)

Excellent Day Skipper Training with Mendez. The team are great, as was our instructor Hugh with a wealth of experience, easy teaching style and endless patience. Most enjoyable. Would definitely recommend Mendez. The lunch was fabulous too.
