Did the Bursledon Brickworks Escape Room this evening and hugely enjoyed it. Lots of great challenges, a great host and the Games Master were our eyes and hands to help us escape. Was nice to get a little look round the Brickworks when we had finished too. Would recommend and look forward to visiting for a tour in person soon

Having visited the Bursledon Brickwork before and enjoyed the Museum and exhibits, I was excited to hear that a new escape room had been constructed there, and was keen to see how it would integrate with the Victorian Heritage of the building. I am pleased to say that it did not disappoint. The design and theming of the room where impeccable. Its clear that the creators have gone to great efforts with the decoration, props and story line. The room, clearly designed for live play has modified to an online version, It was a relief to find that the room was still flowed and worked well, as many other rooms seem to have lost something when played in an online version. This success is in no small part because of the friendly and engaging personality of the live avatar (games master). Cleary experienced, he knew how to gauge input to support both the virgin and more experienced escape room players in our group. The Puzzles have been well designed and use a wide variety of different skills to be solved. I especially liked that all the puzzles seemed different, as some other companies rooms have seemed a bit repetitive, the same solutions just with a different theming to their tasks. The use of some modern effects and technology gel together well with the Victorian theme and almost produce a steam punky feel, which was a nice touch. My group of friends and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would most certainly recommend it to groups of any experience level. I also found it to be extremely good value for money for an hour-long live avatar room, much cheaper than other competitors. I would most certainly be booking again if they produce any other rooms.

We really had so much fun playing this escape room and brilliant to be able to do something like this from our own home. This lockdown has been a test for us all and having something different to bond with friends and break up the week is absolutely what we needed. I am still smiling for days after! I didn't realise that the game would be played live with the games master really at the location and that made the experience even better than expected. There was the perfect amount of challenge while still achievable as part of a team, something for each kind of strength. The storyline was interesting and engaging and the decoration in the game was spot on with some very clever engineraring we didn't see coming throughout. All in all I absolutely recommend getting your friends together and playing, it's absolutely worth every penny and more. The communication before was brilliant and logging on was super easy (nothing special to download or anything) the format, gameplay and extra information is so easy to use even as the massive technophobe I am. I would absolutely play again and hope for more rooms available in the future

Good virtual escape room, complex puzzles built around the brickworks and the period. As well as being hosted live, there is 3d view of each room and detailed images of the clues as you progress. One hour was sufficient in a small team to complete the escape room, great for a 'lockdown' activity.
