In early December I called and waited over 1hr to speak with the receptionist. I explained my symptoms which was obviously high blood sugar (diabetes). I was really ill. On this occasion I was told there were no appointments and to call back tomorrow., phone was then put down on me. I called 111 and they said to call my doctors! Couldn't make it up. That evening I was rushed to hospital with a blood sugar reading of over 30! (Normal is between 4 and 9) And quickly losing consciousness! Diagnosed with type 1. Move to today and why I'm writing this review. My wife has a lump and pain in her upper abdomen. She has tried to get a face to face with a doctor for over 2 weeks but keeps getting fobbed off to a push doctor on an app! This is causing her to worry unnecessarily when a doctor could examine her and put her mind at ease. This system has to chance! I attended the surgery today and there is not a single person waiting to see a doctor! The que was full of people writing forms to be put on the phone doctor triage list! This is mental and clearly not working. Is this the govenment guidelines to surgery's? Or is it the practice that has decided to work like this. I feel it could be dangerous and lead to a number of non diagnosed serious issues with unwell people that can't describe over a phone something that needs to be assessed in person. We are now considering private heathcare as this system is clearly broken!

Would give 0 stars if possible. Called up with breathing problems and got told to call back in the morning obviously that's what everyone gets told and it's impossible to get through at that time. Desperately have tried to change surgeries but the good ones are out of the catchment area so stuck. Don't bother trying to get an appointment just wait until you're bad enough and have to head to casualty

Always waiting over an hour to talk to the receptionist just to be put on a triage list or told to go on push doctor. Seems like they just cant be bothered. Always end up ringing 111 in the end, even though they tell me to ring my GP.
