Met here for a foraging course, which was very enjoyable. Make sure you don't use the postcode to try to get here! The toilet block was closed when we visited and there was only one picnic bench but other than that it was very pleasant with a beautiful river. A train track does run just behind the treeline next to the car park.

Hello, my Mum and I called in at St. Helen's picnic site (Santon Downham) and we had a lovely circular walk before having a look at the disused church. The circular walk is signposted (Black Arrows on yellow circle) which takes you under the railway, through the forest then onto heathland before returning under railway land back along the Riverside. One thing to note, the toilets are only seasonal at the picnic site, but the toilets at the Forestry Commission information centre are open all year round. The Swans are friendly
