Salmestone Dutch Barge Sandwich

Just came back from a weekend on the barge to celebrate our 40th birthdays and we had a fab time! The boat is really spacious, decorated very modern but has a cosy feel to it! If anyone is worried about feeling ill (i get sick on anything that moves) and we went on a very wet and windy weekend but when you are downstairs you don't feel a thing! Archie was lovely and really went out of her way to make it special for us! Unfortunately we couldn't enjoy the top deck as the weather was too awful but the fairy lights were very pretty! The app you receive tells you everything you need to know and don't be freaked out about the any of the instructions, its very easy. Sandwich is a very pretty small town with lots of options for food and drink and the barge is very centrally located! All in all a great weekend!

There are so many reasons why I have given an excellent rating for the Dutch burge boat. Here is a few: Archie the hoist is absolutely fantastic at her role, there is so much space for a boat and sandwich is town but has a village feel to it. My husband and I stayed for 6 nights with our two dogs and wish we had booked for longer as we enjoyed it so much. There is many beutiful walks near by, so many restaurants and lovely shops near by.
