Small self catering cabins. Basic but adequate. Ours was a little smelly on arrival (due to no heating on for a period, we suspect). Well kitted out for ability to cook and use their utensils. Downside, no internet, but just means you need to be prepared Close to the Coastal Path for acces to Sandown (15-20 mins leisurely walk) or further a field

This is a difficult one to give stars to. The chalet we hired through Sykes, Curberlicious, was really lovely. It was freshly decorated & furnished with lots of little artistic touches. It had a very comfy double bed and the other bedroom had equally comfy bunk beds. There are no chest of drawers for clothing, no wardrobe but a hanging rail. It's all very compact. We were there for 3 nights. Only complaint- no shower. If you come in from a day on the beach a shower is preferable to a bath. There were only 2 in our party & although it could sleep 4, it would be a squeeze with 4. The table, for example, could only comfortably seat 2 and it was fixed to the wall to save space. There were 2 seats for outside. If there was a narrow table with fold up flaps you could seat 4 to eat using the garden chairs. The chalet was well kept, very clean with good quality bedding, kitchen appliances & utensils. There is an under the counter fridge but no freezer. Dogs are made very welcome. They even have their own Welcome basket of treats, blanket, bowls. The owners have thought of everything! Outside our chalet there was a huge green area for children to play & dogs to walk. Considering all these chalets are in a row it's very quiet. You can't hear anything from next door & we had a family next door to us. There is parking, & no problem parking, but you have a short walk to the chalet. NOW THEN this is where it gets difficult with the star rating. No problem with the chalet or it's direct location it's the road into the site which is a real eyesore. There is a derelict area with fencing around. This needs demolishing, even if it's left to lawn. It just looks dreadful & could put people off going any further into the site. Seeing that gives you a sinking feeling & colours your impression of the site.
