Isle of Wight Removals

Not a professional removal company, JUST A MAN & VAN After arranging for Simon to move us from the isle of Wight last june 2022, we had nothing but trouble from day 1. He bought 2 new guys with him, no experience, i had to supervisor them when moving furniture, did not cover any furniture in the van to protect it, we had 2 weeks that our entire belongings had to be put in storage, they had to leave half way through as ran out of space on the van but contract was for 2 vans, over an hour later returned to collect the rest. When it was time to have things delivered, turnwd up with a woman, guessing his wife, did not bring it all and made excuses why but wanted full payment or wasn't going to unload what he had bought, what choice did i have, very intimidating, found many many damaged and broken items , tried to get out of it by saying things were already broken( microwave!! Who would keep a broken microwave??) returned weeks later but still not everything was there, after months of trying to get things back and finding out it was spread around the island in different storage containers and excuse after excuse I had to issue him with intentions to take him to court, he then forwarded on only some of the missing things, promised to cover cost of missing items... more like stolen items as never been found and to this day, 8 months on , no compensation and refuses to respond to messages. The contract he gives is not worth the paper its printed on, he refuses to give out his insurance details so do yourself a favour , pay the extra for a proper insured removal firm, if anything goes wrong your protected ,not this joker who has no insurance, no respect for your belongings, and just doesn't care if he looses your things. This is why he is cheap. He makes you believe he's doing you a favour, and because his vehicles are not signed, he can get away with not paying commercial ferry tickets. He claims he's approved by the isle of Wight Council as well. Will probably say this is a fake review but it most definitely isn't

I used this removal company to move house the young men that loaded my furniture on the lorry didnt use blankets to cover expensive wooden furniture, which resulted in my furniture being badly scratched in numerous places and directions. The owner did speak with me over the phone on the day as he was not present when my belongs were delivered to new address. The young men that delivered the furniture refused to take responsibility for the fact they had damaged it as only one of them was present when it was loaded and there was a lot of blame against others. There was then a few times of him stating he was coming to come and view the damage which meant I had to reschedule my plans on a number of days for him not to turn up. I did get a small refund to cover repairs, however it was no where near enough to cover the damage done as the furniture is not repairable. I will never be using this company again and would highly recommend that if your moving to look at other companies I have seen the response to my comment. To say that your customer begged you to use one vehicle when it was quoted for one vehicle and call your customer a liar is not professional behaviour and just clarifies my opinion with regards to these review.
