Booked on the day of arrival, this is cheap and available. Seaview room has nice sea view. Newly renovated bathroom is very clean though shower water is not very strong but warm enough. Washing basin drains very slowly. Bedsheets and curtains are old styled but sheets are clean. Hotel staff are really nice and have good smiles and helpful! There is snooker to play too! But there is a tug shop / eating place operates overnights just opposite plus the pub just downstairs so noise is from both sides while you are sleeping! Hotel itself does have a smell, perhaps because the whole beach area has flies around so they shut all doors most of the time. If they can replace the old carpets with light colour flooring, that will help with the smell and overall brightness of the hotel which matches the photos of the outside of hotel on the web site. :)

Awful: They never cleaned the room for our 4night stay. We have two young kids so had more rubbish than the small bin could hold. We placed this into a carrier bag next to the bin and left it open (so they could tell its rubbish). When we got back, the bag was still there. We had to this be emptying our own extra rubbish daily. The beds were never made for the duration of our stay. As a family of 4, we need 5 towels(one for drying hands). On two occasions we were left with only 4 towels and we had to go to reception to ask for extra towels, also had to ask for extra toilet tissue one day. The hotel feels deserted with hardly any staff around. Some of them were very unhelpful e.g. when we asked were we could eat etc. They dont really tell you things you should know. Its only after our return that I learnt you can eat at the Sandringham Hotel next door. As they dont serve food, this would have made sorting out dining easier for us. The curtains could have been blackout, being lose to the sea and busy road lots of light comes into the room. Didnt bother my husband but Im a light sleeper. There is no fridge in the room Positives: very good location, next to the beach. They stored out plant milk in the fridge and we were able to get it each time we needed it Most of the staff we interacted with were friendly
