The best food you wouldnt even know was there. Horizon restaurant has everything going for it, but the management team doesnt seem to want you to know. Theres no menu at the garden gate on the cliff path overlooking the sea, where hundreds of potential customers walk past every day. Nothing to tell you theyre open and serving great food today (or even tomorrow). The website was a disaster several months ago and hasnt changed. You still cant see a menu online for anything other than Afternoon tea. The tourist season is coming and they need to up their game to fill more than a couple of tables a day. We really hope they can revamp their marketing quickly (not just random Facebook and Instagram posts) and get regular loyal punters through the door to enjoy the fine food and stunning views. Theyre chasing a second AA rosette. Lets hope they get it, Shanklin needs a top class fine dining restaurant. Sadly we dont think they read their reviews. Visited March 2022

I must admit our stay here was most interesting. Would just like say a big thank you to Chris the night staff and Sara made us feel most welcome rest of staff were all training manager really didn't care or seem to be bothered about anything didn't seem to be very enthusiastic . Room I personally stayed in creeky floor boards TV micro sized didn't have fresh towels and left them in the bath as instructed. Very over priced for what is there. Food wasn't that impressive if I'm honest. Lovely view of the early morning sun rise.
