The Appley Lodge Bed and Breakfast

Even tho rooms are to high standard of cleaning. Furnishings are low quaulity. Very Cheap old wardrobes, draws etc... re Painted poorly. Wall paper stuck to bottoms. Food also of low quality cheap ingredients. Owners can not deal with situations that arise. Loud voice and swear words that are offensive. Not professional at all for a business. Other guests return late under influence of alcohol. Walk into guests cars and stamp up stairs. Nothing to do with me yet are blamed for this. If your old and retired this is the place for you. Not for anyone else as there are far better places to stay.

A lovely friendly guest house run by great hosts Gareth and Wendy. This is our second stay here and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. The rooms are clean, nicely decorated and very well appointed, with ensuite shower rooms, complimentary tea and coffee trays topped up each day and flat screen tvs. Great breakfasts with a choice of home-made muesli,fresh fruit salad, cereals, yoghurt , cooked full English breakfast using local produce where possible. I cannot recommend Appley Lodge highly enough. We will be back forthe third time next year.

A very friendly couple own the place and you will get a lovely welcome. Hold 6 sets of family guests. The place is not crowded due to small amount of guests and makes a nice quiet relaxing place. The rooms are similar good decent size with basic on suite toilet with electric power shower and hand basin and nicely decorated and very clean. If you want a small quite relaxing place to stay close to the seafront 5-6 minutes walk from the hotel and close by to many restaurants 5-10 minutes walk, with on driveway parking and very reasonable priced, then it ticks all the boxes. We enjoyed this hotel and couldn't fault it. Breakfast was nicely presented with usual asortment of cereals, fruit mix, juices to drink (orange, apple or cranberry) and full English breakfast including a vegan version. Other dietary needs can be catered for, just let them know when booking. When we visit relatives again we will definitely try to book this place again.
