This place changes your whole perception of life. Take everything in and interact with the people and you find yourself as a different person who is able to grow connections with people you never thought you would. Being sober and going to delamere has been the best life decision I have made yet. Dont let it get too late.

I attended Delamere for 28 days in April 2022 . On arrival I was in a pretty poor state due to alcohol abuse. I consider myself to be an alcoholic. I cant control my drinking. On arrival I was greeted by the admissions team and they settled me into a spotless,en-suite,well furnished room. I was made very much ,at home . During my stay, every aspect of recovery was dealt with in the most professional way. Every member of staff showed amazing commitment and support to their clients . In particular I would personally thank Andrew,my therapist and Adam, my mentor. For anyone seeking help in recovering from addiction, I could not recommend Delamere highly enough. Top marks from me ,in every respect. Ken Strolin

My experience at Delamere was overwhelmingly positive. I received a very high level of care in every area. Support from my Recovery Mentor was above and beyond any expectations I had, and provided me with ways to deal with a huge number of practical issues in my onwards journey. Likewise, one-to-one psychotherapy helped me come to terms with a wide range of issues which both led to and were caused by my struggles with addiction. Group sessions covered a wide range of matters and practices pertinent both to understanding and living with addiction. All of the Therapists, Recovery Mentors, Nursing Staff and other specialist staff members provided a fantastic level of treatment which not only helped me in the immediate here-and-now of my Treatment Programme at Delamere but also enabled me to consider possibilities available for life in recovery upon leaving. The grounds, accommodation, food, and facilities available at Delamere are all of a very high level of quality and comfort. I was made to feel very welcome and well-supported during my time there. Forms of treatment such as Reiki and Equine Therapy were also made possible for me to participate in, which gave me a broad scope of understanding in terms of ways in which addiction can be managed and dealt with. My treatment at Delamere has made an enormous difference to me in every area of my life. I was given fantastic practical support repairing relationships with family, as well as suggestions to help me maintain my recovery after leaving treatment.

Having been in recovery many years I feel obligated to warn anyone about advising their loved ones or if you are considering rehab to think twice before using this facility. Our family member had her rings stolen whilst staying in this establishment. The support she received was appalling. All they worried about was their legal position. I personally emailed 3 times for updates to Alex a so called helper. He completely ignored us but made sure he told us prior to ignoring every email that our family member should have put her rings in the safe as did Tracy the nurse who told her to her her face. Being in recovery myself Im disgusted at the blatant disregard for the people in their care. The patient checked herself out and the Director Didnt even know if shed left or not and actually emailed me finally to apologise for getting her mixing her up with someone else. These people Alex Im particular discuss me. None of them should be allowed in a caring position. Supporting emailed evidence will follow later. Think twice ! Eg Sean, My apologies, Meiling is in fact still with us here at Delamere. I am working remotely and we have a guest with similar identifiers. I am sorry for my mistake on this point. I was eager to reply to you promptly late last night and should have double checked. I understood receiving this false information will have left you feeling distressed and will assure you that processes will be put in place to ensure this will not happen again. I am available today if you wish to speak 077952438.. Kind regards Martin She had left. .. Previously .. Dear Alex, we still await a response from our previous emails. Is it normal practice to ignore updating assigned family members enquiries in such a case? Millie has entrusted you with safe keeping and to be honest this doesnt look like this is been taken seriously. We again request the point of contact for the police and incident reference number. This lack of action and stress has caused Millie a direct effect on her recovery and we are pretty shocked at the lack of resolve and due diligence taken thus part to keep us informed so we are able to support from our end. Please can you report on what is asked. This can not be regarded as an internal incident. This is a police and legal matter where the designated family and person in your care should be fully updated and involved. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE EMAIL the office and ask for an update from Johnsons !!!! They MUST have done the washing from here by now !!!! Its only a small drop as they only have 25 rooms here !!!! The rings MUST have been thrown into the wash by now and either have been found or are sitting in the filter.

After many, many tears of alcohol abuse and with the danger of dying very great, my daughter sought my admission to Delamere. The first 3/4 days were horrific, withdrawal & fear of death, I was comforted by my mentor & the wonderful care assistants. Once Id joined my group, undergone mentor & therapy sessions, I started to believe that I could actually find the life and the existence that I longed for, but was unable to achieve because of my reliance on my addiction. Around the middle of my 4 week stay at Delamere, it was as if a mist, a shroud that covered me had been lifted and my strength in rejecting alcohol was growing as was my determination to succeed. Delamere did all this for me and now I enjoy a selfish sobriety where no one and no thing will be allowed to spoil it. Thank you Delamere
