Do not deal with this man!! I made a BIG mistake in choosing H G Hopkins as they are my nearest Gunsmiths. I used their services 20/11/2021 to complete a RFD transfer of goods purchased from G & T Hunting & Outdoor, Holly Road, Skegness. I had requested for the item to be well wrapped and sealed with tape, so I would know whether or not it had been opened prior to me collecting it. On collecting the item from H G Hopkins I was charged 30 for the transfer. When the item was handed over to me I thought it very strange that it was a plain shoe box was already open at one end with the original outer packaging and brown parcel tape (including My name, address and telephone number) already discarded! The original carry case of the gun was damaged to one corner. I paid a lot of money for this item thus the whole situation had been milling around in my mind. The following day I decided to take this up with G & T Hunting (Whom I bought the gun from) and they assured me that the item was 100% undamaged when they sent it, and that they NEVER open up any one else's boxes! I contacted John at H G Hopkins via social media to try and resolve the problem. He lied and said " I have certainly not damaged the case, the responsibility is down to the person you bought it from" blocking me before I had chance to say anything else... Guilty conscience ??? Needless to say I won't be doing any further business with this crook and would not recommend them even if they were the last shop still standing. If it was at all possible to leave a Less than One star rating then I would.
