Sent to s&b diagnostics by Beneden Health and provided them with a Bupa membership authorisation number which their admin said was successfully paid. Over 6 months later and no results sent to me or my practitioner and they have sent multiple threatening emails stating they didn't manage to successfully process the Bupa payment, despite their admin emailing they had done successfully 6 months previously. Formally requested their official complaints procedure and they have refused to provide this. Don't use this unprofessional, shoddy service and request elsewhere.

My husband was referred for a problem with his leg. The results were never sent to his Consultant despite several phone calls. Wasted 2 appointments with his Consultant due to shabby admin. Very poor

I had an MRI scan of my ankle. I wasn't worried, as I had an MRI of my back and I knew to expect lots of strange noises. I knew to take off any metal items, earings, necklaces etc. before I left home. The staff were very attentive and asked if I had any concerns. They explained to me what would happen and roughly how long it would take. The noises were very loud and I amused myself trying to note how many different sounds I heard. At one stage I had an itch in my leg, but I resisted trying to scratch it in case I moved. By concentrating on something else, the itch disappeared. I was just drifting off to sleep when the nurse came in and said it was all done! There is absolutely nothing the fear with the MRI process. It allows the specialits to see into your body and then work out the best way to treat you.

I attended this appointment wearing loose clothes without moisturiser on my skin so sticky testing pads could be attached easily . The consultant explained each time he was going to stimulate a nerve response so I could watch and prepare myself for the sensation. Part of the procedure I went for included the use of testing with a needle in areas where I had a lot of numbness. I was again prepared for where and when the testing areas would be stimulated and that the machine would make a vibrating noise. Some tested areas were a little uncomfortable but this only lasted a few seconds . Other areas were numb and I couldn't feel anything . The procedure was straight forward and I felt supported throughout .

I recently had (what I think was called) a nerve conductance test to investigate the cause of a persistent foot pain problem. This was an interesting and not-uncomfortable diagnostic method to establish the viability of major nerve pathways. By means of low energy electrical stimulation through soft electrodes, the kind and gentle practioner (my apologies but I do not recall his name) carefully measured the nerve pathways and noted readings determined by the equipment. It was non invasive and not in any way unpleasant and I recommend any potential participant to approach the procedure with enthusiasm.
