I personally think its quite shameful that you think its the right thing to do to close for the whole weekend! You are supposed to be providing a service and there are a lot of elderly people in the area that rely on you!

I couldnt begin to praise this surgery enough. Over the years I have seen Dr Shannon, Dr Adams and Dr Skinner All three were excellent. More recently I had need to see a doctor. He too was excellent. The reception staff have always been helpful, courteous and polite. I consider myself very lucky to have such excellent service for which I am very grateful.

Waited 15 mins for reception to answer to be told I must email before I can get an appointment. I know there are funding problems but the service is now virtually non existent.

Needed an appointment for my 88year old mother for a swollen wrist, next available appointment available was 2 to 3 weeks away, was advised to go to A&E even though I explained it wasnt broken just needed a doctors opinion as it was still painful after a fall 2 weeks ago. Receptionist became abrupt and suggested I put a complaint in to the practice manager as they were full to compatibility and there was nothing available until then. Supposed to be a large practice, it obviously is not.

Monday 13th 2023 evening We've just received a phone call from Dr. Bolton who was very helpful. We don't need to reiterate to other staff the difference a kind word and/or reassurance can make especially after some traumatic, unexpected incident. Thank you Dr. Bolton! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monday 13th 2023 Called the surgery this morning. No answer. We got there in person to be met with the usual rudeness. (There seems to be a rudeness pandemic in the NHS.) The receptionist showed an appalling lack of courtesy. Yet again we presented as a couple but one of us was completely ignored----zero eye contact---and when intervening to talk about symptoms that might indicate an altogether more sinister scenario than previously assumed, the reply was a nasty, tarty: "I'm speaking to the patient only!" Can somebody please point out to the rude if not brainless individual behind the counter that the other half (in this case Mrs Milne) might be the best person to list all the symptoms exhibited not least because my husband has been feverish, disorientated, confused, in pain, involuntarily vomiting and urinating. Other symptoms too. They are not pretty to look at. They lack manners. What is their use? There are disgraced GP-s in this area that use eye contact or lack of it, as well as one's presentation and good manners, as a marker or criteria for assessing their patients' mental health. How about they preach: eye contact, good manners and presentation to themselves and their own staff first and foremost! ________________________________________________________________ Out of the blue, we received a text message, purported to be from Saltdean and Rottingdean surgery addressed to "dear Alan" and giving random information as to what to do and where to go to be seen, the kind of message that perhaps should have been sent during the height of the pandemic. Have the surgeries been reduced to corner shops, run by dysfunctional, loose women, tauting for business targeting individuals via their private telephone numbers? It is none of their business to send unauthorised text messages on private numbers. It is an abuse of power and equals harassment! Imagine were the roles reversed, these very same highly strung, dysfunctional staff would get on their high horses screaming they're being abused in the workplace. Who gives these individuals the right to address one on a first name basis, without knowing them and without that permission being granted? They never learn. They remain racist and discriminatory in their attitude. There is a Mr and Mrs Milne in this household whether the divorced or loose women employees like it or not and unless they learn manners and correct behaviour, they will have the door shut in their faces and their attempts at text targeting reported and pursued as harassment.
