Just came to look and see if everyone else seems to have the same experience here... turns out it seems pretty common! Came here for cleaning and alterations... was advised alteration and clean would "be about 25" but I'd get a call with the price... never received a call. Turn up to collect and get asked for 38.50. You get the good cop/bad cop routine between the owner who bullies his Dad... and the Dad who stands there looking scared of the son. Absolutely mental experience. Never seen anything like it! Fortunately I'm not local enough to need to use them but would strongly advise all to steer well clear! Service: Alterations

Tried to charge 35 to take up one net curtain. When queried reduced to 20. On top of that the new net curtain has blue marks along the bottom and they say its just chalk. I will now need to wash and iron a brand new curtain. It has taken four weeks to have this alteration completed and have my curtain ruined and be ripped off. They really have a could not care attitude. Highly recommend you to keep away from this very unhelpful business I will certainly never use again. Service: Alterations

I phoned and asked for a price for a simple service wash, which in most other laundrettes is 10-15 depending on size. I was told it would be around that price, bought first load in, was cleaned okay but clearly no fabric softener used and was charged 19. The second week I bought in another load, slightly bigger and was charged 29. That is an extortionate amount of money for a simple service wash! No special items all he had to do was put it in a wash cycle and then the dryer and fold it all up, apparently that is 29 worth of work. Any other laundrette would charge 15 for this, the one i used to use in Eastbourne never charged me more than 14.40, theres a place in peacehaven that will do it for 15. The guy seems okay but his shop looks a total mess with clothes everywhere and his pricing is an absolute joke.
