The lady was very gentle and friendly with my dog and seemed to make her very comfortable, especially as my dog is a puppy and this was only her second grooming. I was quoted 30 prior to booking, however, upon dropping my dog off on the day she raised this to 35 and wouldn't budge - despite having quoted me a lower amount when I booked. She told me this was due to the size of the dog, even though I had mentioned the breed of the dog (Yorkie) when booking and was not asked about how big or small the Yorkie was. I ended up having to pay the extra. After this, she explained to me that she wasn't sure how to get the knots out of our puppies hair and was very vague and ambiguous when telling me that she would give it a go. When I came back to pick my puppy up (almost 2 hours later) she had shaved her shaggy hair off and explained "we had to go short". I feel like a courtesy call to ask if this was okay would have been appropriate. Overall I can believe people who say they had a fantastic experience here, however, between the unwillingness to honour the original quote for the sake of getting an extra 5 from me and having shaved my dog short, I'm afraid I did not have a good experience.

Always come to Boo Bear Grooming when my Saint Bernard needs a groom. Roxy loves it and always comes out looking and smelling fresh. Very reasonably priced too and has a quick turn around from enquiry time to actually getting an appointment.
