Rude, unorganised and prejudice manager!! We went to view this nursery for our two year old. On arrival the nursery manger was not welcoming at all. In fact the slapped look on her face seemed as though she couldnt be bothered being there. We came for a viewing to be told straight away did I agree to this?. We then got asked whether we work for the NHS. We dont. She then said straight away she has no place for my son as she is fully booked - but I can show you around for 5 minutes as Im busy. I challenged her on the fact that head office stated she does have places, thats why this visit was organised. She tried back tracking on her statement and said she does have places, but not for the days we wanted. As we were walking out, she spoke very rudely to a staff member who was asking a question - clearly it is not a great place to work and I feel sorry for the staff there. What poor management within the nursery, she clearly does not understand the concept of a welcoming nursery environment and has a lack of interpersonal and relationship skills. If head office are reading this - I would advice to give her some more training because she lacks it. Reflecting on the visit, Im glad of the poor experience as I would not want to send my child to such a place with somebody leading the team there. I would love to see her turnover of staff. I can imagine it is a very tense place to work, meaning my child would not be looked after with love. Sarah - thank you for showing us what a poor nursery looks like!
