Very helpful - we got a reasonable price, Simon gave us good honest advice, explaining his opinion carefully, and went out of his way to help us quickly after our sails sustained gale damage during passage in winter gales. Excellent communication. Heartily recommended. Thanks Simon!

PLEASE go somewhere else This couple have the monopoly in Ramsgate VERY EXPENSIVE to say the least Look around before spending money I am not saying that they don't produce the goods but you can get the same quality at a third of the price else where. They are rather 'snobbish' also. I have no idea why as they are only artisans.

I recently bought a yacht in Ramsgate and wanted to have a review of my sail wardrobe so I went to Northrop Sails who operate alongside the marina. Simon came onboard and viewed my rig and offered advice on that before we took the sails to his loft. Simon gave a very honest assessment of their condition and actually spent more time complimenting them than spotting faults. He was keen to know what my sailing intentions were before suggesting work to be done. I would say Simon operates with a great deal of integrity which means I'm sure to use him again. Given the time spent with me and the quality of the work, I would say Northrop sails give excellent value for money. Simon and the chap who works for him are both very experienced sailors which gave me additional confidence that I was dealing with a company that knows what they're doing and are able to offer the best possible advice. They're nice blokes as well.
