Barletta at Turner Contemporary

Over 25 bill for 3 coffees plus cakes, i nearly fell off my chair!! 5.62 for a small slice of cake....got to be kidding surely??

We went to the Barletta Group Restaurant at The Turner Gallery, Margate for lunch today. We both had Quiche and salad. It was described on the menu as a Small Plate and small it was. A very small amount of quiche and the tiniest salad I have ever had anywhere. No tomatoes. No cucumber. A few salad leaves, gherkins and mustard and that was it. I was not impressed for a cost of 8 each. I did tell one of the staff when asked about our meal. We also had coffees and a slice of cake each. The coffee was good. The slices of cake were 5 each. Mine was o.k, but dry. There was a service charge of 4. I do not think that this was good value for money. I would not rush back there.

Please dont let the scaffolding put you off, it's temporary and the food and service was 5 star. Thank you Ellie the service was great! X
