Spencer Private Hospital

Been in hospital several times but my time at Margate Spencer Hospital was my worst ever experience. Conditions and treatment were worse than any NHS hospital I have been to. I held off making a formal complaint because I was due for another operation there,, but that is not going to happen now so I feel free to proceed. The Spencer is actually pseudo private hospital, wholly owned by the local health trust. Anyone who is foolish enough to actually pay for treatment there has my sympathy. If you are paying thousands for an op find yourself a proper genuine private facility with the appropriate level of care.

My dad is in the hospital as I'm writing this he has just phoned me after his op for a hip replacement he's laying in his own urine and his legs are freezing cold he asked the nurse to pass him his bag as he could not reach it and that even appeared to much for them. Before he went in for his op he had to go in for his pre assessment then they made him walk miles to the xray dept he was in agony no wheelchair offered. He had to constantly phone for information which they sent via pdf format. My dad is not good with computers and asked them to send the information by post which he never received. The only thing he received by post was the bill for twelve and a half thousand pounds. The service My father has got pre care and after care is diabolical and I will be seaking further advice x
