Joyce has been a great support in her mentoring role and showed me great warmth as a newly diagnosed autistic woman. She has also helped the family further by offering her huge wealth of knowledge regarding young ND people within mainstream education. My young adult is looking forward to working with Jane in the new year to help them with their study skills. The help Jane offered was phenomenal. As a Dyslexic I struggle to even see what needs improving or why a comma goes where it does, and yet while working with Jane I felt supported and clear on the process, my work read so much clearer and I am excited to take the next step.

Jane and Joyce supported my autistic son to achieve a BA in illustration and animation, through the pandemic. It was their on going regular involvement that helped keep him calm and focused during what was a very anxious time for us all. Key to their success was that they really took time at the beginning to get to know him well; what motivated him, and what unsettled him. He absolutely loved talking to them, and he adapted to zoom amazingly smoothly. Jane supported him with his academic studies. She helped him to decipher what he needed to do; from often very confusing unit briefs into manageable instructions. I could see a marked improvement in his organisational processes over the time spent with her. Joyce was there really as someone for Tom to talk things through with. He so looked forward to his weekly chats. If things were troubling him, like for example when our family dog passed away, we would say why not chat to Joyce about that, Which proved an excellent coping strategy. Ive certainly learnt a lot about how best to support my son through his involvement with this super pair. Thank you ladies.
