Sadly, any interest or intrigue in this venue as a Chapel come bookshop come pub is overshadowed by the dismal condition of the building, its interior, and worse beer. There's a pervading smell of damp and mould throughout. Just look up at the ceiling. There's no heating and junk books just absorbing moisture across the few hot months. But worst of all is the volume of drink available and the few drinkers. The pipes haven't been cleaned in some time, and both the beer and lager are fury and mouldy. I dread to think what the many boxes of cider are like. The toilet is something else. Overall, it's dismal and that the building hasn't been condemned is beyond me. It may have been a good idea but it hasn't been looked after, and the lack of locals reflects this. Time for investment.

Quirky bar that was once a bookshop that was once a church.
