First time eating here with the family and couldnt really fault the quality of the meals other than in our opinion the kids meals were quite small , all three kids ages 8-10 were left wanting more ..or said they wanted bigger portions .

Absolutely jam packed today as people attending the Eaton Socon May Day festival filled the pub overwhelming the service levels.

My partner and I made a reservation to eat here. When we arrived, they had no record of our booking (thank god I screenshotted the confirmation) and told us wed have to wait at the bar whilst they sorted a table. They offered to serve us drinks whilst we waited, but theyd run out of glasses, meaning they came in tiny plastic cups stacked with ice, and we were charged 5 for 2 drinks, about 150mls each! After a 10 minute wait, we got our table. The waitress was very nice and couldnt be more apologetic, which we appreciated. Sadly, the food took about 45 minutes to come, but it was good, so we have no complaints here. Our table wasnt cleared and we had to go to the bar when we wanted more drinks and the bill. No concessions were made and aside from the friendly waitress, service was overall poor, and the barman seemed frankly unbothered. Its a shame as weve enjoyed a meal here previously.
