Run, dont walk away from this company. Avoid at ALL costs! Let me tell you about my very personal and recent experience with them (March-May 2021)...(in the most legally complaint way as theyve already threatened me with legal action if I leave a bad review) so here is my personal and honest experience of what occurred... We own two holiday homes in Newquay, one sleeping 10, one sleeping 11, and have successfully ran for 4 years. We decided to take on BHH as a way to reduce stress and allow a professional company to handle the large cleans, give us continuity and peace of mind. Boy, were we mistaken in our choice! Issues in order: The costly and necessary deep clean failed to actually clean the oven and fridge the first time around. I had to email to get confirmation this was actually going to be completed in time for my guests to arrive. I randomly walked in to my holiday home to drop off supplies whilst the deep clean was taking place, and was met with the smell of cigarette smoke throughout the entire house! I found cigarettes and a lighter sitting on the counter of the back utility room and asked the cleaner if she was smoking in the house. She replied no, and an independent investigation later took place, but nonetheless, the house smelled of cigarette smoke throughout! I was assured by the owner of the company that no cigarette smoke was present when guests arrived. The first clean performed was thorough, but the cleaners failed to fill coffee/tea/sugar which were clear instructions on the house notes. Its not major, but it is the lack of clear instructions being fulfilled. The second and last clean was like a dumpster fire. I walked in to the house for final spot check, and find that the barroom floors and hard floor surfaces were not swept, hovered or mopped! Dried on toothpaste was still on the floor and back splash of the bathrooms from the previous guests. The toilets hadnt been cleaned properly and had cleaner left on the inside (never scrubbed). There were no hand towels, so the floor mats were hung in the hand towel location. Every throw pillow and throw blanket were either shoved in the closet, or balled up downstairs in the living room, so none of the beds were properly made as advertised. The refrigerator hadnt been touched and there were visible crumbs. The downstairs tiles were un touched and visible dirt was standing on them. I took photos (withheld sending them initially) emailed the customer service email as per the contract, and received no response. Fast forward to receiving a reply, and it was less than expected. I was offered poor customer service, no money back, but was graciously offered to leave my contract early. At that point, I was so disheveled by my whole experience, I asked if I could leave both contracts. They obliged, returned money owed for the second deep clean for the second home which as never performed, and took out money for the cost to collect linen. I waited until my renters left a review, which was a 3/5 star for cleanliness, and then let BHH know I would be leaving an honest review of my experience. Which Ive done. To summarize, my experience has been traumatic. Ive built a business over 4 years, entered into a contract and entrusted BHH to simply clean the houses to a standard. The standard was not reached. My guests left poor reviews for cleanliness as a direct result of the poor cleaning and poor supervisor checks, my ratings declined. Customer service is appalling. Maybe theyre better suited for small holiday flats and not large homes?
