        Dont bother coming to this branch to open a bank account, they dont have anyone trained to be able to do it. They will send you to Cambridge or Bishop Stortford. Waste of time. Sort it out Santander and train your staff properly.

        Staff including the manager the most unhelpful I have ever encountered - asking for a simple stamp on a bank statement copy - complete jobsworth. Discussed with santander call centre who agreed was being unhelpful and would expect some discretion from the manager. Let's hope this is one of the next branches to close if this is how they treat their longstanding customers. Went to the Cambridge branch later that day - couldn't have been more helpful - all sorted in under 3 minutes.
