The Brownhill Countryside Centre has been closed now for quite a while, although it is still prominently signposted, including a giant sign that points you to the building where it once was, with a tiny car park, hence the single star- probably worth even less since it no longer exists. The old centre is now the Limekiln Cafe, which is well worth a visit and the Huddersfield Narrow Canal and the wonderful countryside walks around here are well worth a visit.
