Ordered at midday on a Friday, was hoping the item would be with us on Monday as the website states its NEXT DAY.
Called Monday as I had still not had a dispatch email, was advised by a lady who checked our order and said it had been dispatched and would be with us on Tuesday.
By Wednesday we had still not had a dispatch email so called at midday.
Advised by a 'Mark' that he was sorry but the item had not even been dispatched.
Obviously I questioned why we had been told it had already been sent on Monday and been left to wait for something that was not coming.
His first response was that he had no-idea who I spoke to and that he had already apologised...
From here his attitude became more abrupt, combative and childish.
He continued to talk over me to the point where I had to ask him to allow me to speak. He then proceeded to 'Mm-hmm' loudly as I was speaking.
Almost cartoon-like. Quite bizarre.
He proceeded to advise they would ATTEMPT to send our item today, but that it might go out tomorrow.
I questioned why he could not definitely send the item today (given as it was only Midday, was supposed to be next day delivery anyway and the fact that someone from the company had already told us it had been dispatched two days earlier) and his response was that they had other customers.
I told him I felt they had shown very poor customer service and that I would like to cancel the order if they could not guarantee the item would be sent today.
He genuinely seemed joyous at my request to cancel.
Almost like he had won some strange battle of wills and would rather lose a sale than have to provide a customer who had complained (fairly) with their product.
The ego on this guy is something else.
