Breezy Knees Gardens

Despite it being mid-September there was still so much to enjoy including a 'September' garden full of interest and autumnal colour. Liked the themed 'rooms' of different aspects of gardening such as the area with many conifers and associated species. Visited Barnsdale earlier in the year which has a similar layout but not as well done as Breezy Knees. Loved the humourous touches in signage and oversized sculptures.

A notice apologising for lack of toilet cleaning is not acceptable. Hygiene is a priority especially next to a cafe.

A wonderful sunny day spent at the gardens today! It was lovely and serene! Plenty of gardens to meander in! We can appreciate the effort put in by the gardeners to keep the gardens looking good! Some of the flowers in bloom were absolutely beautiful, especially the dahlias. They were stunning!!

Would have been very good if hadn't been for the wasps! What started as one or two, soon became several (inside the caf itself) and as a result we abandoned our lunch. I appreciate that it is difficult to control wasps, but no mitigations taken by the management, no door screens, no electric bug lights and I note large open rubbish bins kept within a few yards of the caf entrance. Simple little things that will make a difference but on the plus side the food was nice but basic and the staff are friendly..(two stars) but I won't be coming back during the summer months again, .spoilt my Birthday celebrations with my elderly mum....shame really.
