Dont touch with a barge pole! We paid a deposit for a wedding here and were told they were also buying another location at some point in the future. What they didnt tell us is that they would be selling the location we paid the deposit for to purchase the new location. Our wedding essentially became dependent on a property sale and might not go ahead at the location we selected. Obviously we could not plan a wedding not knowing where the actual reception would be so we asked for a refund. Initially the owner was responsive and agreed but later started ignoring our messages and then refused to return our money. The owner kept boasting how much their house was up for sale for which she seemed to think was some sort of reassurance. She claimed she had done too much work to return the money however upon our visit all she did was write our names in a diary and we had not progressed any further with our planning at all so no further work could have been done - we asked for proof of what work she had done but did not receive any. We initially thought the location was quite scruffy and chaotic but the views were nice and we were assured it was just in the middle of a cleanup. Wish we had trusted our gut as the owner turned out to be unprofessional and deceitful. No wedding and hundreds of pounds out of pocket - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
