After finding out that meals were now being served, I went with 3 friends for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and plentiful, with a good selection of veg! The staff and service was friendly and most helpful. It was quite chilly when we arrived, and the Landlord lit a fire, which was a lovely touch. This will definitely be a place we will visit often. Thank you for your hospitality.

We've been popping in for drinks for a while now after the new owners took over, and we've been pleased with the drinks on offer and how clean it is inside. The kitchen opened recently so we gave it a go and we were so impressed! There was plenty of options for starters, and I can honestly say it was the best Camenbert we've ever had, very reasonably priced and great portion sizes. We also tried the gamba pil pil which was lovely. For main course we had steak and ale pie and Cumberland sausage and mash. Proper hearty pub food and a good selection of real ales to wash it down with. Feeling very lucky to have such a great local!! You definitely have some new regulars!
