Waited 20 minutes to even get inside the door. Branch is only opening 20 hours a week so queues massive. Unhelpful service once inside along with many other people complaining. Staff seem understandably fed up. It may as well shut if this is the best they can do.

I have been banking at Barclays in Rustington for about 20 years, and have always found the staff helpful, efficient and professional. Even in these trying of times during the pandemic they have managed well under very difficult circumstances. Well done Barclays.

My mother aged 94 went along early last week as the queues are very long at this time. She was third in the queue and ended up waiting for an hour to enter the bank. Others were coming along and allowed in before her ( NHS workers?). The man at the door was quite rude to her and she was struggling to stand. She asked for a balance of her account, having drawn out some money, and then found she didn't have the print out as she left the bank. She approached the man to ask if the printed balance was in the bank and he told her she would have to go to the back of the queue again! The queue is always very very long and sometimes ends up mingling with people in other queues which is unacceptable when social distancing is so important. I think my mother's treatment was appalling. She also found she'd lost her hearing aid as she was so distressed. When this pandemic is over I shall get her to transfer to Lloyd's bank, as they are open for much longer each working day and much more courteous towards their customers. Shame on you Barclays!
