Loads of problems with the charger, many times its flashing red and cant charge. Customer service just tell you to reboot or re register but doesnt come to fix the problem.

Edit: April 2022. No change on my review below. SyncEV responded to the review - but have still not replied to my last email (despite saying they have) - or reached out to me to resolve this issue (my post is not anonymous..). A shame - to me this indicates that they care more about responding to a one star review than trying to actually resolve the issue. (Original review) Ive had a SyncEV charger for 9 months now. Ive given them the benefit of the doubt for a while - but recent silence from them over issues my unit has means this is a one star review. TL;DR Id buy a different one again if I had the choice. 1. Firstly - when first fitted I had to have a replacement fitted after 1-2 days - unit died. Same happened for the replacement. The installers then replaced an internal fuse on unit 2 (soldering iron job) and its been fine since 2. I chose the SyncEV as it had 3G connectivity. This was fine to start with - then kept dropping the signal (apparently) then failing to reacquire it unless it was re-booted. This led to a to and fro-arguments from SyncEV via email which ended up with them not responding - via email, phone (didnt pick up) or Twitter. Ultimately I seem to have solved this by going into the settings (via WiFi on the phone) to set up the unit to look for 3G as its first and second choice - rather than just first. This only seems to require a reboot every few weeks or so (still unsatisfactory). 3. For timed charge the unit only allows a pulse keep awake or trickle charge. Just about every other unit on the market doesnt need this trickle uses 1.5kw every hour before it charges and pulse switches on the car charging circuits every few min (relays click on) which cannot be good for the car long term. The solution for this has been promised for a while - but not delivered. 4. The box itself wobbles / flexes when the plug is unplugged. Im not sure how long it will last like this Id love to support this company - Im all for a small UK firm making good products - but to cut off communication a customer trying to constructively work through issues is unacceptable. Steer clear and buy something else.

Extremely poor customer service. Do not respond to email (which is now the only way to contact them). Would avoid based on inability to deal with issues (2nd charger from them that has also developed another fault).

What a great company and product! Had a few teething issues initially but mostly down to my miss-understanding. They now have a new APP out and its much improved and easier to use. Any Emails/calls have been quickly responded too and their support guys are fully clued up and in the know. Very happy with my choice and would highly recommend!
