I dropped my car off this morning and was told to call the garage at lunch time to see if the repair was completed, which I did and was told my car had been serviced and there was a problem... I'll need my rear brake pads changed. I was very confused as this is what I originally asked for. I explained that a car service was not what I asked for and that I wanted my brake pads changing, and that I even had proof of the text messages, but I was spoken to in a very unprofessional and aggressive manner by Karen and accused of phoning up aswell as texting with regards to my repairs because I "definitely booked in for a car service." | was made to feel that it was my fault as Karen "had never had any issues in the 14 years she has worked there." I was asked to cover the cost of the oil, which I understand does cost, however this was not the service I asked for so refused to pay. I also have my car booked in for a service elsewhere so why would I pay for the service twice. If I was spoken to in a nicer manner, would have paid for the oil that was changed in my car to help the garage out.
When I arrived later on to collect my car,
Karen rushed me to pay for the repairs and didn't apologise for the way she had spoken to me or the confusion that was caused. I asked a question about the extra cost for the diagnosis due to having an electric handbrake (I know nothing about cars and repairs) and was looked at like I was stupid, and spoken to with an awful attitude.
Unfortunately, I will not be using this garage again as I am now very wary about leaving my car with people that can't communicate, which is a shame as I have always had good experiences.
