I was an apprentice working for Claus and co on southborough lane (who I believe owns shears academy) and they sent me to this collage through lockdown they fired me for lack of communication even though I was joining the zoom calls which was all I was asked to do there full reasoning was because you didnt turn your camera on (I have bad anxiety when doing calls over the internet which involve showing face, which I had explained to them multiple times) even though I was Answering all the questions that were asked to me. so if your work is thinking of sending you here DO NOT GO JUST REFUSE I had 3 months left on my course. Also the training was bad they didnt try to teach you they just expect you to know what you do which would be okay if you were getting the training you was supposed to in the shop you were working in. All I can say is do not go to this collage its horrendous.

This training salon is amazing. The managing staff, Tracey, Sue and Pauline, are some of the most professional people Ive ever encountered; they genuinely care about the trainee stylists, with Tracey overseeing and practising the best hairdressing skills for the future of these young people. As a teacher trainer myself in the education field, Tracey and Emmas (an amazing trainer) skills are second to none. Their patience, empathy and hard work should be applauded. I returned today after the lockdown and was so impressed with all the covid safeguarding in the salon; its spotlessly clean and the most organised, informed premises Ive visited in any setting, be it a salon, shop or public building. I felt absolutely comfortable, as well as receiving excellent service from the trainee stylists. Thank you to everyone who works there; I can not recommend enough.
