Had no issues booking an appointment, when I sat down for my appointment I was looked at and asked you do realise this is a private dentist appointment insinuating if I could afford it. As you can imagine this was shocking to say the least.
I advised them I was half way through a treatment plan with my previous dentist, to which I was asked did they actually do any work.
I was told I needed various work which was not an issue I was happy to get everything booked on and sorted, but I was put on the spot numerous times regarding one tooth as it may not be able to be saved but was asked the same question over and over so what do you want to do and put on the spot and made to feel very very uncomfortable and quite frankly like a child.
After this I was given a treatment plan printed off and told it will be 850 again this was no issue and I would have even paid this in advance but when I got to reception I was handed a card machine to pay 100 and was told it was a deposit no idea what part it was a deposit for or of it was coming off the total price or what it really was for the deposit price was not an issue more how It was just assumed I knew what it was for.
After leaving I actually broke down in tears as not only had it put me into a flustered state I was also very stressed about the experience and way I was treated. I have never had an issue with any dentist in the past so this was very disheartening.
After a few hours I made the decision not to carry on at the practice and called to ask for my 100 deposit so I could go back to my previous dentist, I was trying to explain why this was and also asked if possible are there any other dentists at the surgery that offer private services, to which I was just told no.
All in all I really had a horrible experience and whether it was an off day for the practice Im unsure but after the way I felt Ive decided to go to another dentist.
