The check In was easy and smooth, the hotel looks very dated even if it has had new carpets fitted, the lifts were very old and seemed like they break down any minute.The room was lovely and clean but dated too.
We were on evening meal and breakfast with the trip, last week at the othe Holiday Inn it was a gourmet beef dinner, this week it would not pass in a diner- fish cake or a 'lasagne' which was basically sloppy mince with a lasagne sheet on top(no cheese or bechamel sauce in sight), boiled new potatoes and frozen vegetables of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. They ran out of everything 3/4 of the way through and refused to provide anything else, regardless. The young waiting staff were lo but had to take a lot of flack for the lack of food, the kitchen staff were awful to both waiting staff and customers refusing to make anything else. The breakfast was lovely, but overall I would not want to come back again
