Im no longer a patient with you, but some of my family are. Trying to get past a receptionist is like climbing a mountain. Then to get an appointment to see a doctor is impossible. If its a ring back by the doctor , how on earth can a doctor in his room know if you have a chest infection or is it pneumonia? The surgery has gone down hill over the years. It used to be one of the best in Rugby. Sadly not anymore.

Rubbish service, been waiting over a week for a call back despite being told twice someone (after ringing them again to see why no one has called me back when they said they would) would be ringing me back. Not impressed.

I registered to join this surgery in March 2021 when I moved to Rugby. I handed in the correct paperwork and my two forms of ID. I moved from Scotland so I do not have an English NHS number. I heard nothing back so I had assumed that I was now registered although when I went to get my covid vaccination in the June/July period 2021 I still did not have an active NHS number for them to attach this to. I phoned the GP immediately and was initially told that they could not find my paperwork (data protection breach) and instead they took details over the phone. Since then I have phoned and spoken with what I imagine is every receptionist available on a near monthly (occasionally weekly) basis to chase the progress of my application - most of which have appeared to be helpful on the phone assuring me that they will chase it however fast forward 1 whole year and I still do not have an NHS number and I am no further forward. I am a key worker and my vaccinations are not recorded on any system. I also could not access my covid passport to show restaurants/venues for evidence. My partner was registered to this surgery before I was. He has not had the same problems however any time he has phoned for an appointment he has been offered a telephone call within the next week which would appear to be very prompt and efficient. However on almost every occasion they have not phoned him at all and there has been no communication from their end attempting to re-arrange. He finally managed to arrange a face-to-face appointment for today and he detailed his needs over the phone when booking the appointment (one of which included an asthma review). He also specifically requested a doctor. He showed up to his appointment today to find that he had been appointed to a nurse, not even the asthma nurse as she is on holiday, and the nurse he seen offered a box standard asthma prescription which he noted is not working for him and she was very unsure how to help his other issues as expected so has offered him yet another telephone appointment to speak with a doctor. We are officially fed up and done with this GP practice. We picked this GP as it had the best number of positive Google reviews - I dont want anyone else to fall in to that trap.
