I can highly recommend Ruardean Garden Pottery if you would like to improve your throwing skills on the potters wheel. I attended the intensive throwing week, and had a wonderful time, and I became a much better potter for the experience. Thank you John.

I had a very enjoyable and interesting week at the pottery. Although my learning curve was steep, I felt I progressed and had acquired some important skills to progress. John's affable nature and willingness to continually demonstrate the finer details helped a great deal, and the lovely lunches kept us going, although a little bit too cheesy!. all in all , a worthwhile experience.

Went for the weekend throwing workshop for beginners, learnt lots! The pottery is amazing space and knowledge and experience you can tap into is incredible! Definitely worth while

A great experience on the two day throwing course. Plenty of time given throughout the weekend to work at your own pace with John on hand when needed. Lovely group of people sharing the experience, too. From first timers to those who have some experience, this is a perfect way to get throwing.

The week 'Big Pots' course with John was brilliant! The balance of self learning, group demonstration and 1:1 troubleshooting was perfect. And I did indeed double the size (weight) of my pots from start to end of the week Although hard physical work at times wrestling the clay, I finished the week feeling accomplished and very mentally relaxed thanks to the lovely setting and group, and thanks to John's structured but easygoing delivery. Hightly recommended!!
