Had a christening party here. The owner of the pub was very friendly and helpful. We had the hot pie buffet that was provided by the pub, the portions were good and the pies tasted great with all sides included. The room was free of charge and the deposit given back the next day with no issues. Thanks for a great day

Went for a birthday party so couldn't comment on food . Toilets nice and modern which was a pleasant change for a pub that looks quite ordinary on the outside.

We had a Christening here and the room and facilities were lovely. The staff behind the bar were very friendly and gave a great service. I went into the pub the day after the Christening to collect my deposit and the owner was very rude to me. He had the deposit in his pocket and was almost waiting for me to come in and have a go at me. I asked if everything was okay with the room and he confirmed yes but questioned why everyone left so early? Having stated back to him that what time my guests leave it entirely out of my control, he proceeded to be rude and have a go at me that he had "hardly made any money". I sympathise that he may not have made the money he wanted to that evening but he may have been able to get this point across to me without being so rude. A little conversation and he just continued to be rude and repeating his comments. He begrudgingly gave me my deposit back. The room was free, which was great for us. However, considering the owners attitude he may want to review for future bookings. He would be able to secure his earnings for events if he charged a fee for the room. It is a shame this happened as the whole day was lovely. A moaning, rude owner tried to put a downer on it.
