Dr E Klimko - Royton Medical Centre

Had a text asking me to ring to make an appointment with the nurse for a blood test. Have been ringing for 5 days - no-one answering the phone.

Ive been going to royton medical centre my whole life. Its very understaffed, and is a very small practice, but Ive never been treated rudely and the staff are always kind and patient. My GP is Dr Stewart and hes the first GP Ive had whos really listened to me and tried to help, rather than brushing off things Ive said. Ive seen Dr Klimko a couple of times too and shes amazing, my mum thinks shes great too, very no-nonsense and will do what it takes to help you. I have regular injections every few weeks, usually with a nurse or a doctor, and theyre always really accommodating and friendly. Only reason Ive taken off one star is because the understaffing and them having so many patients while being such a small practice means it can be really difficult to actually call them and get an appointment. Ill have my phone on automatic redial when I can, and itll call them over 100 times in the morning before I can get through. Especially if youre older or dont have that sort of time, it can be nearly impossible. And they dont let you make appointments in advance anymore for some reason, so Im lucky I can schedule my next injection at my appointments because otherwise the stress would be unbelievable. I really do like the practice and the people there, but its so difficult to get things done.
