    There is only one estate agent in Royston that I would recommend and that is Wellington Wise. They sold my house for me in November having secured multiple above asking price offers when it was marketed earlier in the year. The service was second to none, always polite, professional and helpful. This was the 5th house I have sold and Darren Honey is by far the best state agent I have ever worked with. He made the whole process a pleasure even helping me with insight and tips for my onward purchase. I will continue to watch his monthly videos with interest - move over Phil Spencer! The best decision you will make is to trust Wellington Wise with your property sale, it really is the only wise choice in Royston.

    Unfortunately, I have had an extremely poor experience with the letting agency from the beginning of my tenancy and have since left my tenancy early due to the ongoing issues with both the property and management by The Letting Agency. Upon moving in there were several maintenance issues (including a non-working kitchen sink tap) left for extended periods of time (the tap took 1 week to fix so I had no kitchen sink or water that whole time, the smaller issues such as cupboard doors missing, lino and uneven flooring, broken tiles took 2 + months to sort out - These were all highlighted by myself in the week I moved in). I had to chase in excess of 8 times over 2 months, and given dates and times that no one showed up for. The staff in the office (bar the Director who I had to contact in the end) have been rude, unhelpful and flippant with any concern. With no access to our energy meters, I had to chase every single month to get my readings, was given the wrong readings on more than one occasion, and refused to send a photo of the meter for mind's ease as it would 'take too long'. More concerningly, Contractors have entered my flat without notice (and without me even being aware they were given keys to do so?) and our communal front door had the lock removed & left over night on a public street, with no contact or notice to what was going on. I have never received an apology for any of the above issues. I was eventually allowed to leave my tenancy 2 months early due to the above issues, but even with 2 months notice from myself that I wished to leave, I was only told with 2 weeks notice that they had found someone - Which was only due to me seeing the post had been removed from Rightmove so I enquired whether someone had agreed to the let. Likewise, I left a week early paid up as requested, and was still charged in excess of 400 for minor wear & tear issues (including genuinely being sent images of dust in a cupboard that I had 0 access to). Overall, an extremely poor and unsafe environment to live in, with staff that will likely respond to this with a patronising and irreverent tone as per any comms I had with them whilst living there. It appears that they are more than happy to manage the rent payments through them, but less so to actually manage the properties.
