Tried the lunchtime special here, four dishes and sharing desert platter. All nice, although the limited plate selection on the lunchtime special had 3 pork dishes but no chicken. Also avoid the kangaroo meat dish, extremely tough. Overall good value and would visit again. Vegetarian options: Several veggie options available

This place is the Jewel in the Crown to Royal Wootton Bassett! We visit quite regularly and the food, staff and atmosphere is outstanding. Ashley and his wife are both welcoming warm and passionate about food and service and if you have never tried it you should! We had my hen do there on Saturday night and everyone said how wonderful it was and to say they went above and beyond would be an understatement Amazing

The food at the Royal is delicious and I cannot fault it. Had a lovely evening with friends. The only down sides were waiting staff being way too attentive - kept approaching and interrupting conversation to ask if all was ok and removing plates whilst we were still eating. Too many staff repeating questions if everything was ok, did we want another drink etc. it all felt a little rushed and no time to relax. There was also a group of young lads at the bar who were extremely noisy, trying to out shout each other making it difficult for us to hear each other at the table. Not great for a restaurant - it felt more like a night out in trendy pub for 18yr olds.

Spent a lovely afternoon in here recently. Great range of drinks, friendly and helpful staff. Very clean throughout. The Menu looks fabulous, and from what I've heard from very reliable sources, I'll be going back very soon hopefully, to sample some of these delights. I've heard it very popular and can get busy, so probably best to book. They make an absolutely fabulous Passionfruit Martini, now that I have tried.. several of.
