Jubilee Lake

Good space for a walk and be in contact with nature. The place is well taken care of. Also there is a small parking lot, space for kids to play, as well as a coffee! I will be back, for sure. Take my dog to play there!

We went to this spot to check it out for fishing. We walked around the lake which takes 10/15 mins. Nice walk through a woodland next to a river then around the lake. There is lots of benches to sit on and lots of fishing spots for single anglers. We found 2 grassy areas at the end of the lake where you could have multiple anglers but nothing would be suitable for big groups. Seems you have to purchase a fishing ticket from the stationary store in town or Maggies tackle and bait store (although this says closed on Google). We will be back on a day with better weather to investigate the fishing further! There are information signs all around the place on the wildlife which would be great for kids. When leaving dont take the right path out of the lake area as this takes you through all the housing and is a longer route back to your car. Best to take the left or middle path to get back to your car. Overall seems like a good spot for a fishing/picnic day out :)
