Based on my experiences with Marshall VW Tunbridge Wells, during the first 20 months that I owned my Tiguan, I would recommend that anyone thinking of purchasing a car from them thinks twice and looks for a non-Marshall Motor Group dealer. I had two faults which I estimate lasted for 65 weeks of the first 84 weeks of ownership. The 2nd fault, an intermittent noise, took 10 months to get fixed, and that was only because, eventually, with the help of VW Customer Services, I took it to the VW Dealer in Sevenoaks (different franchise) who diagnosed the fault and fixed it in next to no time. Through my persistence, I got to speak with the VW Franchise Director at Marshall Group, and whilst he apologised, (something that Marshall Tun Wells never did) and accepted that their performance and decision making had been poor, he didnt feel that any compensation was appropriate, despite their 10 months of inaction and inability to fix the problem and the massive inconvenience and frustration caused to me. All that was offered was the cheap and hollow gesture of possible future discounts on servicing costs something unlikely to happen as I dont intend to visit them again! He even likened the scenario to that of a doctor unable to diagnose a medical problem and where a patient wouldnt expect any compensation. Conveniently he overlooked the 30,000 that I had paid for the car. Its your decision.
