Utterly awful pharmacy, staff are rude and they never have the items in stock they also palm you off and say it'll be in in a few days and still doesn't come in. Left over a long bank holiday weekend without baby formula. Staff members particularly one (think her name is Rachel) seems to always have an attitude problem. Would not recommend this place if you can help it as they will leave you high and dry.

I would not recommend this pharmacy to others. The opening hours are not working family-friendly, as the pharmacy is now closed on Saturday afternoons and Sundays, which is the only time working people can get their medications. Saturday mornings are especially difficult for parents because many children need the parental chauffeur service to get to their activities at this time. If the goal is to cut costs through the reduction of opening hours I suggest that cutting a midweek afternoon would be more appropriate and friendly to people who need to work. Additionally, the SMS notification system is broken. I received a text message informing me that my prescription was available. Still, when I went to pick it up a mere 6 days later, I was told that the legal 28-day limit between filling and picking up prescriptions had passed, and I couldn't get my medication! This shows a serious problem with the pharmacy's communication and organisation. Furthermore, it's almost impossible to speak with the pharmacy staff. I called at least 20 times over the past week at various times of the day, but every time I got an automated response with no ability to leave a message, rather than a person. This inability to communicate with anyone led to confusion over whether medications for my 4-year-old son were actually ordered, and he's now got no medication until the meds are reordered and delivered to the pharmacy - and who knows when that will be. It leads to a situation where the only way to find out if they are there is to go into the store physically and hope for the best, which is unacceptable in the digitally-enabled world in which we live in 2023. It again shows serious operational failings in this business. I also found the staff to be seriously lacking in compassion for a father unable to get medication for his child, and a patient in need of medication himself. When, in obvious distress, I questioned why I'd only received the text 6 days prior when the prescription was ready 22 days before this, I was told that I shouldn't rely on the SMS and instead should take responsibility for my own medication! This is not an acceptable response from customer-facing staff, and it shows a lack of accountability and responsibility on the part of the pharmacy. Finally, as another indicator of the lack of care in this business, over the Christmas period, the opening times were not updated on Google, leading to a wasted journey. I had tried to call to check, but once again, the phone was not answered. This shows a lack of responsibility and accountability on the part of the pharmacy staff. To be fair, for me this was a minor inconvenience, but I imagine that it caused serious issues for any disabled or elderly customers for whom in-person travel is more of a struggle. Overall, I would say that the Day Lewis Pharmacy in Southborough is dysfunctional. The pharmacy's opening hours, communication systems, and customer service are substandard and do not meet the needs of working parents. As most of the people living in Southborough fit this bill, it means that Day Lewis Pharmacy is letting down the community they serve.
