I really can't recommend Stuart Coffin enough. Absolutely amazing service and support through multiple mortgage transactions. Stuart couldn't be more helpful or responsive. It's difficult to find trusted advisors and to have the feeling that someone is in your corner (particularly through stressful times - like a house purchase or re-mortgage) is very reassuring.

Stuart is everything a mortgage broker should be: an expert with up-to-date knowledge of products and markets, processes and pitfalls, an advisor with a strong sense of fiduciary duty to his clients, and best of all (perhaps rarest, too), a caring person with deeply compassionate instincts and an understanding of the kind of human moment he's often involved in: a time when people are stressed, nervous, putting their savings on the line, a time when they likely don't sleep much and have a million questions. Stuart is always ready to answer those questions. He's reassuring, knowledgeable, and never patronizing. He knows what kind of things clients worry about, and he makes sure those worries are addressed, even if he has to pick up the phone at 7am or 7pm. He's very fatherly in that way. I've never met a financial professional who handles this human component of the job so well. Sometimes, in the most stressful parts of my mortgage application, Stuart simply said, "I've done this for decades, and I'm telling you, it will be fine. You're good." And that was really all one needed to be able to sleep. Because after 5 years of working together, and 3 mortgages, I trust him when he says everything is fine. Of course, hand-holding is just a bonus to the fact that Stuart is terrific at making home ownership possible. He helps his clients think through their entire real estate portfolio, weigh the pros and cons of every product, put together great applications and secure the best rates.
