Received a call from a recruiter that saw an old CV of mine and said I would be a great candidate for a team lead role. He called me two times asking for more clarification regarding my experience and asked me to rewrite my CV to highlight some specific knowledge, and asked me for proof of right to work in the UK (which I never had to show in such an early stage, especially to a recruiter and not to the hiring company). The morning after, I receive yet another call from the same recruiter saying that now he doesn't think I am a good candidate anymore, and after asking for more information (exact years of experience in this and that) he said he would submit my CV to his manager and let me know. Well, he never came back to me, and after looking at the company he said he was recruiting for, I noticed the company is not even hiring for the job role specs he has sent me. Now I am not particularly sure what happened but definitely this makes the whole ordeal look suspicious. I will report this through the gov.uk immigration portal as well.
