I very rarely write reviews but I feel I have to purely to save others the same experience and also constructive criticism is helpful for business. I booked for a wedding dress fit online. I was surprised that there was no 'notes' section or similar, so before the client arives you can be prepared with an idea of their size.. their style etc. I arrived to feel disappointed at the lack of plus size dresses. Mostly size 16 and under which these days is not even plus size. I have dyed blue hair which i appreciate might be strange for some but upon entering the lady looked at me like I was an alien! The whole vibe of the shop felt awkward and like that scene in pretty woman where they make her feel unwelcome !!! Surely the experience of dress shopping should be fun, happy and made to feel relaxed and comfortable. I immediately felt on edge and unwelcome. I tried on 2 dresses as there was only very few size 20 dresses. The lady that helped me was lovely and new to the role. But the whole experience was uncomfortable, awkward and I left feeling utterly self concius and upset. Perhaps it's my fault as an 'alternative plus size ' girl visiting a small village wedding dress shop but I want to warn any brides if you are size 18+ be prepared for lack of options and avoid if you look remotely 'alternative'.. i would say pop to Brighton where you will feel accepted and included. Overall what should of been a fun, positive experience has left me feeling totally deflated and disappointed. Edit- the fact that there has been zero response yet responses on all the positive reviews does not look good for a business

BEWARE! I would give my experience 0 stars if possible. The dress I ordered had clearly been tampered with, (I believe it had been let out to reflect a larger size) no paperwork, all sizing labels removed, including the silk stitched in label which had been poorly cut out. The dress wasnt true to size at all, as Ive since ordered the same size from another supplier and it fits perfectly. Ive had to chase for over a month to get my 700 payment refunded. My recommendation would be to avoid this company.

Wedding Dress selection was OK, quite small in comparison to other shops but I guess thats because they have dresses for all occasions but what was disappointing was the lack of wow factor for guests. At previous free appointments we've been given teas and waters etc and made to feel very comfortable whereas here we actually paid 35 for an appointment (was meant to be 1.5hrs but we were gone within the hour) and we weren't even offered a glass of water. Not really sure what we paid for as other places are free to try on dresses. Quite cold and lighting not great either. Lady was very helpful though and they have a good turn around regarding how long it takes to get in the dress.

I would like to say what an amazing experience I had purchasing my wedding dress with Any Occasion Boutique. From my first appointment the staff were super helpful making good suggestions about dresses to try or alterations that could be made.The appointments felt relaxed and not rushed as the staff were friendly. There was a good selection of dress available to look through especially with shorter dresses. I would highly recommend Any Occasion Boutique. Thank you for helping me find my perfect wedding dress!!
