Been attending Back Care classes at The Heart of Yoga for a year now. Caroline is a fantastic tutor, with a great sense of humour to guide us through our paces. Its certainly making a difference to my back and hip pain. Definitely recommend.

The quality of the class was good , however is was an uncomfortable experience , the teacher said I wasnt ready for some moves without properly adjusting me or telling me what to do until I asked , I was only adjusted once by the teacher , she was kind of upset that I was challenging myself and trying to go into deeper poses and more difficult one , saying I am flexible but not strong which I took well but she only criticized but didnt aim to teach and adjust me much but very little and I felt like she kind of ignored me the whole class and was kind of unpleasant treatment which gave me really bad negative energy and vibe , she was only joking with the people she previously knew , quite unwelcoming behavior I did learn a lot and she has some very good valid points and has a different and unique style of teaching which I think I could benefit a lot from if the treatment wasnt as harsh

I have been going to the Heart of Yoga Studios for several years now. I have attended the two beginners courses, Hatha and Back Care classes with Caroline and I am also having private lessons with Graeme. Being a small class means that we get the full attention of our teachers. They explain asanas clearly and take the time to review and correct our postures. This is why I like going to this studio. Other places I have been to, just let you get on with the routines and do not adjust poses. Having had a few personal issues in the past 2 years, I have found Graeme and Caroline very understanding and extremely helpful. In particular, Graeme will adapt our one-to-one sessions depending on how I am feeling (i.e. yin, restorative or more active). I have read some of the bad reviews and I think that they are mainly the result of people not adhering to the rules of the studio. Both Graeme and Caroline are masters of yoga. They have different teaching styles but they are both excellent. Anybody who wants to be serious about yoga should come to this studio. I highly recommend it.

A place to learn yoga properly... Im at the start of my journey but having dabbled for years at other places in Warwickshire, you can sense this is the place that will really help me achieve more in my yoga journey. It's exciting to be learning from the instructors here because they have some amazing experience and background, and bring that all here to Leamington Spa. Just finished the beginner's course (the initial 6 week one and follow up 6 week one after) and recently started to come to the other classes on offer now. The instructors really do well to help focus on grounding good technique, and building for the next improvement not just for achieving postures but much more than that - I feel like I'm in a whole new world of yoga and lucky to have found this place. Its a great place for beginners to learn the right foundations that will help really make a difference in the long-term, and get really focused advice that's really tuned in to what you need. Equally, I know because my wife goes here too and she's far into her yoga journey, that its a great place too for those who already do a lot of yoga. We both love it. Adjustments are gentle and within limits and at the same time help improve what ever the focus is. I'm currently training for a marathon and its made a world of difference to my running and my occupational hazard of back pain. Thanks Caroline and Graham!

I have practiced yoga before and with other instructors and my experience by far was the worse here. I have never written a google review either but I was left in tears after my experience here and so I feel its important for other to know what they're walking into. I have utter respect for the instructors at this place and the experience they have in yoga, however the male instructor I had a session with was incredibly rude, patronising and humiliated me constantly throughout the class. There was very little patience or understanding, I was threatened constantly that he would ban me from the class if i didn't follow his instructions, and I did to the absolute best of my ability. However it was my first class in this specific type of yoga and it is very intense. What was expected of me was completely unfair, I went to this class to learn not to be bullied. He also made remarks that if my posture was not right I might hurt myself and my parents would come in to have a word with him. Not only was it said in an incredibly belittling and patronising way but it also felt so insensitive as someone who has been estranged from their family and essentially living like an orphan. While, I don't expect him to know this, the tone and the way you interact with other is the least that I can expect of another person, especially if I'm paying for their time. He made it out as though I did not want to listen to him and that I wasn't interested in being there, however I work two jobs alongside university and still I decided to pay for these classes for the betterment of my physical and mental health. Hence, fully participating in the session is important to me because I work so hard to make the money that I pay for the session/s. I will reiterate, I have the utmost respect for my instructors knowledge and experience with yoga, and completely understand if something occurs that may put my physical health at risk, then he must warn me. However, there is a way to speak to people especially if they're giving you their time and hard worked money, but even on a general human level, you should never speak to anyone the way I was spoken to. I left the place in tears and was distressed for several days afterwards and so decided just now that I will no longer be going and have cancelled any other remaining classes.
