The drinks are very reasonable and kept very well, which is a big plus, for me.
It has been nicely updated and yet kept the excellent ballroom and stage so perfect for a celebration event.
It does have the social club feel about it that might put pub devotees off. Then again, most pubs have become pseudo restaurants and have begun to close earlier and earlier.
The vibe here is good, with welcoming bar staff.
It is well worth visiting regularly.
